STATEMENT OF PURPOSE FOR BCC WOMEN'S MINISTRY

An expanded description of the purpose and ministry of Bethesda women's fellowship.

Purpose:

1. Spiritual Growth: To provide a platform for women to deepen their relationship with God, study His Word, and apply biblical principles to their lives. (2 Timothy 3:16-17, Psalm 119:105)

2. Support and Encouragement. To create a safe and nurturing environment where women can share their experiences, receive support, and encourage one another. (Galatians 6:2, Hebrews 10:24-25).

3. Service and Outreach. To mobilize women to serve the church, community, and world through various outreach programs and service projects. (Matthew 25:31-46, Acts 9:36-42)

Ministry:

1. Bible Studies and Discipleship. Organizing regular Bible studies, discipleship groups, and mentoring programs to equip women with biblical knowledge and practical life skills. (Matthew 28:19-20, Titus 2:3-5).

2. Prayer and Intercession. Encouraging women to pray for one another, their families, and the community, and providing opportunities for corporate prayer and intercession. (1 Thessalonians 5:17, James 5:16)

3. Community Service and Outreach. Coordinating service projects, such as food drives, disaster relief, and outreach programs to support the vulnerable and marginalized. (Proverbs 19:17, Matthew 25:31-46).

4. Fellowship and Social Events. Hosting social events, such as teas, brunches, and retreats, to foster camaraderie and a sense of belonging among women. (Acts 2:42-47, Hebrews 10:24-25).

5. Mentorship and Leadership Development. Identifying, training, and empowering women to take on leadership roles within the church and community. (Titus 2:3-5, 1 Timothy 2:11-12).

6. Counselling and Support. Offering support and counseling services to women dealing with various life challenges, such as marriage issues, parenting, or abuse. (Galatians 6:2, 1 Thessalonians 5:14).

7. Evangelism and Witnessing. Equipping women to share their faith effectively and providing opportunities for outreach and evangelism. (Matthew 28:19-20, Acts 1:8)

Goals:

1. Build Stronger Relationships. Foster deeper relationships among women, encouraging them to support and encourage one another. (Hebrews 10:24-25, Galatians 6:2).

2. Develop Spiritual Leaders. Equip women to become spiritual leaders in their homes, church, and community. (1 Timothy 2:11-12, Titus 2:3-5).

3. Serve the Community. Mobilize women to serve the community, demonstrating the love of Christ through practical acts of service. (Matthew 25:31-46, Galatians 5:13-14).

4. Promote Holistic Growth. Encourage women to pursue holistic growth, addressing their spiritual, emotional, physical, and social well-being. (1 Thessalonians 5:23, 3 John 1:2)

Additional Focus Area:

1. Women's Health and Wellness. Addressing physical, emotional, and mental health issues affecting women. (1 Corinthians 6:19-20, 3 John 1:2).

2. Family and Marriage Support. Providing resources and support for women in their roles as wives, mothers, and caregivers. (Ephesians 5:22-33, Titus 2:3-5).

3. Women's Empowerment. Encouraging women to discover their gifts, talents, and passions, and empowering them to use these to serve others. (Galatians 3:28, 1 Peter 4:10-11)
